I’m Nishio, the head of the Selmo Nisshin Nishi Elementary School Classroom, located in Nisshin City. Our focus is on providing a learning space primarily for students from Nisshin Nishi Junior High School, where they can take initiative in their studies, learn at their own pace, and utilize ICT for independent learning.

一昨年11月から毎週木曜日に日進ベタニヤ教会で行われている英会話教室に通っています。
I’ve been attending an English conversation class held every Thursday at Nisshin Bethany Church since November the year before last.

 

今日の英会話のメイントピックは生成AIの使い方について。
Today’s main topic in our English conversation class was how to use generative AI.

 

最近、ChatGPTがどんどん人間らしくなってきており、また優秀なのでどう使うかが課題となっています。
Recently, ChatGPT has been becoming more human-like and highly capable, making it increasingly important to consider how we use it effectively.

 

愚かに使えば、簡単に愚か者になれるし、賢くなるような使い方をすれば、短期間で成長することができます。
If we use it foolishly, we can easily become fools. But if we use it wisely, we can grow and improve in a short period of time.

 

私からは、最近読んだ本の紹介を。
I shared a book I recently read.

 

AIを使って100日チャレンジでプログラミングを続け、短期間に優秀なエンジニアにそだったお話でした。
It was about someone who used AI to take on a 100-day challenge, consistently practicing programming and rapidly growing into a highly skilled engineer.

 

逆に、サナ先生からは、学校の授業中で50分掛けて考えてほしいと出題された作文5本を、AIにわずか3分で作らせ提出したことで、先生から教室から「でていけ！」と言われた生徒や、
On the other hand, Sanna-sensei shared a story about a student who was assigned five essays in class, each meant to be carefully thought out over 50 minutes. Instead, the student used AI to generate all five in just three minutes and submitted them—only to be told by the teacher, “Get out of the classroom!”

 

リアルな彼氏がいるのに、AIとのセクシャルな会話にのめり込み、彼氏にふられしまった女性の話をしてくれました。
She also shared a story about a woman who had a real boyfriend but became so engrossed in having intimate conversations with AI that her boyfriend ended up breaking up with her.

 

AIは、とても素晴らしい道具ですが、それを使いこなす人で、良い方向にも悪い方向にも使えてしまうので、使う側がしっかりと考えて使う必要がありますね。
AI is an incredible tool, but how it’s used depends on the person. It can be directed toward good or bad, so we need to be mindful and use it responsibly.

 

AIについて、いい対話ができました。
